More playing!

The lovely and gorgeously talented Kaz mentioned in a blog post yesterday about getting some images from Itkupilli, and of course I had to go and investigate. Once there, I realised I'd been there before and had to have a little play with my blog from her fabulous free backgrounds ... and also spend a small fortune on some digital images! She has a sale on, so it would've been rude not to!! But I'm still blaming Kaz xx

I'm still more or less up to date with Learn Something New Every Day. Here are my next two pages ... the first is heavily influenced by Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesdays. On Sunday we had a pretty lazy day doing not much at all, and whilst surfing the net I came across this quote which summed the day up quite nicely!

And then I did this page which isn't strictly the lesson learned that day, but possibly from the day before when I made that hideous (in my eyes!) red and black and white page ... the comments I received on here made me see it slightly differently! Lesson learned ... but clearly I'll be making the same mistake again as the irony is that my first attempt at this lesson ended up in the bin!

I'm enjoying the peace today as the kids are back at school (one yesterday, one today) and I am back to work tomorrow!

EDITED!
While surfing earlier I came across the Collage Obsession challenge blog ... their word for the week was "dream" and the had this picture to use for in your piece if you wanted:

I loved the image straight away, and ended up doing this digi LO:

Oh Susie...that wording is sooo appropriate in our crafting world. How many of our little gems of art have been filed in a bin? Something within us makes us go for a particular colour, texture, image so its our art for that moment. I love how you have worked your background...very dramatic my lovely X

love those pages and it's true about every bit being of value. if I don't like something, I smother it in gesso!! xxx

Oh wow that's brilliant Suzie, I love what you've done. I don't think you should go back to work, you need to stay off so you can create! xx

Gorgeous crafting Suzie, amazing how we are so critical of our own art isn't it. I love your pages and your digi is fab. xx
